Srinagar-Jammu highway, other major roads closed amid inclement weather | KNO

Srinagar, Apr 29 (KNO): The Jammu-Srinagar national highway, Mughal road and Srinagar-Leh road have been closed for traffic due to landslides and shooting stones amid snow and rainfall since last night, officials said on Monday. SSP Traffic National Highway Ramban, Rohit Baskotra told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that shooting stones and landslides occured near Mehad, Kishtwadi Patthar, and Gangr Ramsoo areas, leading to closure of the highway. He said that men and machinary are on job to restore the highway, but continuous rain is hindering the clearance work. He advised people to avoid journey on the highway till weather improves and road is clear. Mughal Road, Srinagar-Leh highway and major roads in the Kashmir Valley are also closed amid inclement weather—(KNO)
